Built In 1899 as a classic carriage house. 170 Eat 80 Street was home and work space for acclaimed fabric designers and artists D.D. and Lode Tillett.
In 2008 Pate Shin purchased the historic properly from fabric designer and son, Seth Tillett, and was able to fully restore the original facade from a postcard painting by his mother, it is from this artistic history where Kate drew her concept of living with art, resulting in an art gallery with largest indoor waterfall sculpture in residence.
